Getting There
Mount Elgon National Park is approximately 235 km east of Kampala. Travelers can reach Mbale by tarmac road and then proceed to Kapkwai or Budadiri trailheads via murram roads. Public transport options are available, but hiring a private vehicle may offer more flexibility.

The ideal time to visit Mount Elgon National Park is during the dry seasons, from December to February and June to August. These months offer more favourable hiking conditions, though the park is open year-round.
