Mabamba Wetland Sanctuary, also known as Mabamba Bay is a remarkable destination for nature lovers and bird watchers. It’s located on the Shores of Lake Victoria, approximately 50 Kilometers Southwest of Kampala, Uganda’s Main Capital City.
Mabamba has over 300 bird species, such as the Rare Shoebill Stork, African. Fish Eagle, Grey Crowned Crane. Various mammal species such as Otters, Mongoose, Bushbucks, among others, and Reptiles including Crocodiles, Monitor Lizards, and Butterflies, etc.
There are different activities such as guided birdwatching either on foot or on a canoe, Boat cruising on Lake Victoria, and nature walks to explore the Sanctuary’s diverse habitats.
