Ngamba Island Sanctuary, located on Lake Victoria in Uganda, is a 100-acre island sanctuary that provides a safe haven for over 50 orphaned and rescued chimpanzees.
The sanctuary was founded in 1998 by the Chimpanzee Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Trust (CWST) and is accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries.
