Terms & Conditions for Tanganyika Tours & Travel Ltd.

Welcome to Tanganyika Tours & Travel Ltd. We are excited to help you plan your dream trip and to ensure that you have a smooth and enjoyable journey, we have outlined the following terms and conditions. Please take a moment to read and understand these terms, as they will govern your relationship with us.

By booking a safari with us you acknowledge that you have read and understood and accepted these terms and conditions. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

1. Booking and payments

    • A booking is considered confirmed when the client has paid the required deposit or full payments.
    • The client must pay balance of a Safari at least days prior to departure
    • The company reserves the right to cancel booking if payment is not received in time
    • Full payments for Gorilla tracking permit 100% payment is required at the time of booking
    • Late booking full payment is required if booing occurs less than 7 days before arrival

    2. Cancellations Policies

    • If the client cancels the booking the following cancellation fees will apply;
    • If cancellation is done 60 days or more prior to arrival 10%  charged
    • If cancellation is between 59 – 32 days prior to arrival 25% charged
    • If cancellation is between 31 – 8 days prior to arrival 50% charged
    • If cancellation is between 7 – 3 days prior to arrival 75% charged
    • If Cancellation is done 48 hours or less prior to safari date $100 charged
    • Gorilla permits and Chimpanzee Permits 100% non-refundable

    3. Travel Documents and Visas

    • The client is responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents, including passports, visas and health certificates
    • The company shall not be responsible for any delay or cancellations resulting from the client’s failure to obtain necessary travel documents in time
    • We strongly recommend clients to buy travel insurance cover for un-expected medical issues or travel related expenses

    4. Health and Safety

    • The Client must disclose any medical conditions or health concerns that may affect their ability to participate in a safari
    • The company reserves the right to refuse service to any client who appears to be unfit for travel or who may pose a risk to themselves or others

    5. Changes to the tour of Travel Services

    • The company reserves the right to make changes to change a safari including itinerary, accommodation and transportation
    • Client will be notified of any changes as soon as possible

    6. Government Law and Jurisdiction

    • These terms and conditions shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of Uganda
    • Any dispute arising out of or in connections with these terms and conditions shall be resolved through arbitration and Conciliation Act of Uganda

    7. Acceptance

    • By booking a Safari the client acknowledges that they have read understood and accepted these terms and conditions.

      Health and Safety Policy

      Pre-Travel policies

      • Risk assessment; we will conduct thorough risk assessments for each destination and activity of a safari
      • Travelers Screening; Screen travelers for medical conditions that may affect their ability to participate in certain activities
      • Vaccination and Medication; Provide guidance on necessary vaccinations for any medication for each destination
      • Travel Insurance: Offer travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, trip, cancellations and delays

      During travel

      • Emergency response Plan: We Have established an emergency response plan in case of accidents, Illnesses, or natural disaster
      • Frist Aid Kits: We shall ensure that first Aid kits are available in all our vehicles or any hired vehicle will have a First Aid kit
      • Vehicle Safety: We shall ensure that Vehicles are well-maintained, and drivers are experienced and licensed
      • Trained Staff:  We shall ensure that all our staff are trained in first Aid Kits, CPR, and Emergency response procedures

        Accommodation

      • Safety and Security: We shall all accommodations facilities to be booked meets safety and security standards, including fire safety and emergency evacuation procedures
      • Accessibility:  We shall ensure that accommodation facility to be booked is easily accessible to travelers with disabilities
      • Cleanliness and hygiene: We shall ensure that accommodations to be booked meets a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene

      Safari Tour Activities:

      • Qualified Tour Guides: We will ensure to hire qualified tour guides with experience and knowledgeable about wild life safari activities
      • Safety Briefing; we will provide safety briefings and instructions about all activities involved in the safari before the safari starts
